Terms of service

Last updated: 7 July 2026

These terms cover your use of mindtheshop.co.uk, run by Mind the Shop, a UK web design and marketing studio. Plain English throughout — if anything is unclear, ask: mindtheshopstudio@gmail.com.

1. What this website is

This site describes our services and their prices, and lets you book a free 20-minute call or send an enquiry. Nothing on the site is sold at checkout: every project starts with a conversation and a written proposal.

2. Prices and proposals

The prices published on this site are genuine and current, but they are an invitation to enquire, not a contract. The binding version of any engagement — exact scope, what's excluded, the calendar timeline and the fixed price — is the written proposal and agreement we send you, which takes precedence over anything on this site. Proposals are typically valid for 14 days.

3. How engagements work

In brief (the full detail lives in each client agreement): a 50% deposit books your project slot (50/25/25 on multi-month builds), the balance is due on completion, and ownership of the deliverables transfers to you on receipt of final payment. Timelines assume your content and sign-offs arrive by the agreed dates — delays pause the timeline day-for-day. Audits are confirmed by invoice and delivered within the stated period after payment.

4. Your accounts stay yours

Where a project involves your platform, domain, email or advertising accounts, those accounts belong to you. We work on delegated access and hand everything over with a written handover document at the end of the project.

5. Content on this site

The text, design and images on this site belong to Mind the Shop (or are used under licence) and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. Case studies name clients only with their permission, and every figure we publish is real and approved — if you believe anything on this site is inaccurate, tell us and we will correct it.

6. What we can't promise

The website is provided "as is": we work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Marketing outcomes depend on many factors outside any studio's control, so nothing on this site is a guarantee of specific business results; what we do promise — scope, timeline, price — is set out in writing per project.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (such as for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence). Beyond that, our liability in connection with this website is limited to £100, and liability for client engagements is as set out in the relevant client agreement (typically capped at the fees paid).

8. Links

Where we link to other sites (for example a client's website), we're not responsible for their content.

9. The legal frame

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the current version always lives on this page with the date at the top.
